This is the original bigger edtion of the Raak Fuga. The regular size of a fuga is 40 cm, but these ones are 60 in length. These wall lights were designed by Maija Liisa Komulainen ( Finland ) and manufactured in the early seventies. Although these lamps are made of aluminium and rigid of shape, they evoke a warm atmosphere of light.
Dutch company RAAK Amsterdam has manufactured a large number of great lighting designs and was one of the Dutch leaders in developing progressive lighting during the fifties, sixties and seventies. The designs are often sophisticated and characteristic and they captured the spirit of these decades very well. The company’s design team worked with national and international designers ( E.J. Jelles, Frank Ligtelijn, H. Sneyders de Vogel, Ton Alberts).
