Impressive floor light by the Dutch Raak lighting company. This model is called ‘Zodiac’. Solid rosewood square frame holding a large 50 cm white opaline glass globe, all supported by solid aluminium legs. This attractive minimal looking floor light was designed by Belgian / Dutch architect and designer Anton Carel ( Ton ) Alberts.

Alberts was also one of architects who later designed the remarkable organic Gasunie building in Groningen, Netherlands. The structure of the frame and the materials strongly reminds at the designs of Poul Kjaerholm. For sure it would be a great match with some EKC furniture!

Good condition with normal usermarks. The solid rosewood frame has an attractive grain pattern and bright rosewood color. Glass is free of cracks ( minor fleebites down on the opening, out of sight ). Wiring has been replaced through the whole fixture, and all electrical parts have been checked. Comfortable foot-switch in the wiring. Lightsource: one E27 bulbholder, suitable for modern LED bulbs. RAAK manufacturers label inside ( model 2080 ). When ordered, these light will come with a very decent packing job.
