Set of 8 black Result chairs, second edition, which means the backs and seats are made of a more glossy, synthetic plywood, which was most usual for schoolchairs at the time. For most schools and companies it was prohibited to sell or keep furniture which was written off after several years of intensive use, which means most of these chairs have been destroyed at the time.
Kramer can be referred to in the same sentence as designers like Wim Rietveld and Cees Braakman. A retrospective exhibition of his work was held in the ‘Boijmans van Beuningen Museum’ Rotterdam and in the ‘Stedelijk Museum’ in Amsterdam.
This set is in great vintage condition, no cracks, no broken frames, just normal usermarks.
