Fantastic set of identical 5 bar stools, original from the 1960s, produced by Rohe ( Netherlands ). Together with Pastoe and Fristho, Rohe was one of the most popular Dutch modernist furniture makers at that time. These bar stools are very durable made; black iron frame, with natural rattan seat that has a very attractive patina. These type of stools have become quite rare to find in a good condition as these; All frames are inspected on damages and all are intact. The rattan is also in good condition, normal wear but all looks great and ready for use in your midcentury or brutalist style interior. Charlotte Perriand used similar stools with leather seats for the “Les Arcs” ski resort project in France. The origin for use of materials such as wicker, bamboo, rush and rattan can be found in the furniture designs of Tito Agnoli, Bas van Pelt, Gio Ponti and Franco Albini.
