This very rare Sadima lounge chair is exemplary for Colani’s talent creating highly experimental furniture. The BASF company gave Colani the task to develop a number of futuristic furniture pieces, and of this Sadima lounge chair only 10 seems to be produced. One of them is in the collection of the Neue Sammlung Museum in Munich, Germany.
Good condition with only minimal usermarks. Not discolored, no cracks. Foam feels fine, fabric minimal usermarks, not worn out. Great opportunity to purchase this collector item.

The prime characteristic of his designs are the rounded, organic shapes, which he terms ‘biodynamic’. Colani designed for a number of companies, such as BASF, Flötotto, Rosenthal, BMW and Fiat. He worked as a professor of industrial design in Bremen, Tokyo and Shanghai, and received a number of international awards.
