Kaare Klint (1888-1954) was one of the leading figures of Danish furniture design. Klint designed his first furniture in 1914 for the Faaborg Museum. Klint’s furniture was often inspired by earlier styles or other cultures, he demanded clear and logical structures, only honest, pure lines, and quality made craftsmanship. Klint’s influence led to a renewal of Danish furniture design during the golden age of Danish design from the fifties of the 20th century.
Kaare Klint was inspired by a British Officer’s chair that he had seen in a travel guide for Africa.
This chair is easy to disassemble and assemble, without needing any tools.
This very aged Safari chair here would be a great objet trouve or conversation piece in your room, and compliments other modernist furniture very well, thanks to its authentic looks. However, it is still in very solid condition, and also can still be used as a regular chair as well!
Condition: lots of usermarks and small chips. Though; wood pieces are very solid. The smaller leather belts are a bit damaged here and there. Unsigned.
